The KSO is definitely a unique and special blessing to us all.” — Carol Landwehr, Ft. Mitchell

While the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on how we operate, the KSO remains resilient and continues to safely perform in-person and online to serve the residents of Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati with engaging programs.

Comments taken from recent surveys help convey its impact —

“Accessible art and entertainment builds strong communities.” — Zoe C.
“With all the divisiveness and separation of this year Music brings us together” — Lisa M.
“Provided a safe respite during the pandemic” — Annie J.
“We want, and our community needs, the KSO to enrich our lives.” — Chad M.

We hope you agree. Your gift today supports accessible and affordable musical programs throughout our community. Now through December 31st, you have the opportunity to double your impact! Thanks to the largest matching grant the KSO has ever received, new and increased gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000. No gift is too small. Your tax-deductible support is critical and will have an immediate impact in making unique and engaging KSO performances available next year. Your support is needed now more than ever.

This year, we restructured our in-person programs to adhere to health protocols and keep our Tristate audiences and musicians safe. The KSO held public dress rehearsals for seniors and other "at-risk" on the mornings of each summer concert in Fort Thomas' Tower Park. In October, the KSO presented a free interactive virtual and in-person education concert, answering student questions submitted in real time via text messages. On Halloween, the Symphony opened its 29th Subscription Series in an industrial warehouse which allowed for social distancing and enhanced air circulation. Each performance is captured with 5 HD cameras and offered via livestream, allowing individuals to choose how they wish to participate (in-person or from home).

The pandemic's pall has significantly slowed ticket sales, and corporate support has all but dried up. Yet, thanks to the generous matching opportunity a grant or pledge can have twice the impact when made by midnight December 31st.

Your help now will allow us to plan our 30th spectacular season of live and virtual concerts that includes the affordably-priced subscription series — chock full of area premieres, and special guest artists — plus an expanded free summer series in both Devou and Tower Parks, as well as free, fun and engaging educational concerts for greater Cincinnati schools.

Please help us take advantage of this 2-for-1 gift to keep the music playing. Thank you for valuing what the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra means to the community. . ***If you can't give now, a pledge of support will allow us to meet the match (we've reduced the goal to reflect pledges received via email — info@kyso.org).
