Give the gift of music to 4,000 students now — double your impact!

Together, we can provide magical musical memories for area students.

Nearly 4,000 students will attend fun, interactive programs that help them perform better on state testing and fill gaps left by cuts in school funding for the arts. This year students are participating in-person and online, with the opportunity to ask questions of KSO musicians by simply raising their hand at the end concert. (Virtual attendees email or text questions in real time during the concert). While COVID-19 had an impact on the way the KSO operates, we remained open to serve our community. The KSO quickly adapted educational programs to provide teachers much needed resources.

Please play your part to keep the music playing for students by supporting the KSO today.

Now through December 31st, you have the opportunity to double the impact of your gift! Thanks to a $25,000 matching grant, your donations will be matched dollar for dollar. No gift is too small, and your tax-deductible support will have an immediate impact. “Without your free concerts my students would not have the chance to see an orchestra.” — Michael Parrett, Ludlow Independent

Teacher's survey results indicate the impact of last year's programs:

  • 95% state that “My students would not have as many high-quality opportunities to experience music if the KSO did not offer these programs.”
  • 97.4% believe “My students have learned new musical concepts and language.”
  • 100% feel “because of the KSO’s concert, my students’ appreciation of the arts has increased.”

  • "Focused, fun and rich with learning. I've found they inspire the students to ask questions, and learn about more than just music but also history, etc." Rebecca Wells, Prince of Peace Catholic Montessori.

"KSO Concerts expose my students to the instrument families through music that they are familiar with and that they love! Field trips are not as frequent in our county as in years past because of the costs involved. Many field trips have fees and then the cost of transportation adds to that cost. The fact that the KSO offers this FREE concert to our students is amazing! We appreciate the sponsors and donors so very much!" Stephanie Collins, James A. Caywood Elementary

"We have no music program and your concerts allow our students to experience music in a creative way." — Julie Alwell, St. Peters and Paul

Your gift today gives students a memory that will last a lifetime.

"The program was very kid centered and really engaged the children. You went right to their level and engaged them where they are with their own interests." — Tracie Thornberry - St. Clement School
